CONSULTATION

During the initial appointment, the primary objective is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's goals, budget, and project scope.

This initial conversation is crucial as it establishes a clear vision and sets the foundation for effective planning and collaboration.

By aligning on these key elements, both the client and architect can ensure that the project is tailored to meet specific needs and expectations, paving the way for a successful and cohesive design process.

DESIGN PROCESS

CONCEPTAL DESIGN

Design briefs are essential tools of communication.
These documents provide a scope of work & budget for the client & designer to work to.

Property searches & town planning have been conducted at this stage to inform clients of any council regulations or environmental restrictions.

Site analysis is the basis of conceptual design, conducting studies on geographical regions, site surveys, orientation, prevailing breezes, vistas & proposed design dimensions.

Sketching, modeling & 3D design are essential tools to communicate with the client, whilst providing an insight into the design process.

PRELIMINARY DESIGN

The preliminary design process begins with a consultation to understand the client’s goals, budget, and site conditions. Initial concepts are developed and assessed for feasibility, considering structure, cost, and regulations.

The design is then refined into detailed plans and presented to the client for feedback. After making necessary revisions, preliminary documentation is prepared, and the designer proceeds to the building approval phase.

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION

The building approval process involves developing detailed designs and submitting technical documentation to the local council authority.

Once approved, a permit is issued to commence construction. During and after construction, inspections ensure compliance with the approved plans, culminating in the issuance of a final occupancy permit.

This thorough process guarantees that the project meets all safety and legal standards.
